The Lord Jesus was coming from the Temple on the Sabbath, when, while walking in the way, He saw a man who had been born without eyes. When the disciples saw this, they asked the Lord "Who's sin caused this man to be born blind, him, or his parents?" But the Lord answered that this had happened so that the glory of God would be revealed. Then the God-man spat on the ground, making clay with His spit. He put the mud into the eye sockets of the blind man and said to him, "Go, wash in the Pool of Siloam" (Siloam means "sent").
